ENDORSEMENTS

As a businessman and our mayor, Mike Posey knows how to get government out of the way of Huntington Beach residents and businesses. If we send him back to the Huntington Beach City Council, he will continue to:

  • Focus on a balanced budget

  • Attract and keep jobs in Huntington Beach

  • Reduce bureaucratic red tape impeding economic vitality

  • Improve Huntington Beach’s aging roads,
    sidewalks, parks, and infrastructure

  • Enhance public safety

  • Regain and retain local control

ABOUT MIKE POSEY

Dear Neighbor,
My wife, Jeannie, and I are proud to call Huntington Beach home, and I’m
honored to serve as your Mayor.

Having spent my career in the private sector, I know how to run our city
government more like a business.

Since you elected me four years ago, I’ve delivered results:

• Put advance pension liability payments in a trust to earn interest prior to
future payments becoming due
• Converted 11,000 street lights to low energy LED, saving tax dollars
• Co-authored Huntington Beach’s ordinance requiring transparency in City
employee salary negotiations
• Overturned the plastic bag ban imposed by the previous City Council,
letting the voters decide instead
• Provided enhanced communication as Mayor: in the past eight months,
I’ve held three Town Halls and five “Meet the Mayor for Coffee” events
Orange County Auditor-Controller Eric Woolery awarded me a Taxpayer
Watchdog Award for my work.
It would be an honor to continue serving you on the City Council, and I
respectfully ask for your vote this November.

Sincerely,
Mike Posey
Mayor of Huntington Beach
